"2 Many 2 Much" is Mijk van Dijk's third release on his label microglobe musikproduktion and the next single on the journey to his long-awaited fifth artist album. The world premiere took place on July 8, 2023 on the Rave The Planet float, which Mijk organized together with Hexenwerk Festival, Volume Berlin Records and Trendwaende Vienna.
The track builds up a lot of tension with a classic-hypnotic chord progression, which erupts in the break with a euphoric choral sequence. With its powerful bass drum and 130 bpm, the track fits into both banging techno and melodic tech house sets.
Mijk loves short, concise messages in his music. In "2 Many 2 Much" he describes in a few words how the sum of many small inattentions from too many people can lead to more significant consequences than the apparently large and important events.
For DJs who prefer music without words, there is the almost identical instrumental version. The bonus track "Alone" fascinates with its cool atmosphere and melancholic-dreamy 303 melody.
